Our Composite Doors
Composite doors are taking the world of home improvement by storm. These high-quality entranceways are a popular alternative to standard uPVC, wood or metal doors and offer multiple benefits for the discerning homeowner. As the name suggests, they’re made with multiple materials bonded together in layers with a thermally efficient core. This is completed by an impact-resistant GRP skin, which provides additional protection from the elements and break-ins.
We work with renowned industry experts Heritage Trade Frames and are proud to bring them to homeowners in Yeadon, Leeds, Harrogate, Wetherby and the surrounding areas. We have multiple designs, a selection of high-quality hardware, versatile glazing solutions and much more. Our composite doors are rigorously tested to ensure a consistently high standard and you won’t find better examples anywhere else in Leeds, Yorkshire or the neighbouring counties. Features
Composite doors can be built around solid timber, but we prefer using a thermally efficient foam-filled core. This not only makes them up to 50% better at retaining heat than timber-panelled doors, but it also makes them thicker, sturdier and more reliable.
These composite doors are true market leaders and will make a very positive impression on anyone who visits your home. Click on the points on the image to the right and you’ll find more of their incredible benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Composite Doors Bigger Than Regular Doors?
On average, composite doors are usually thicker than their uPVC or wood counterparts. Our composite door profiles are 44mm thick and this makes them inherently more robust than the alternatives. However, in terms of height they’re usually the same size.
What Is The Lifespan Of A Composite Door?
Unless they’re mistreated, you can expect a composite door to last for thirty years. Keep it in good condition and it’ll survive even longer.
Don’t The Colours Fade?
No, even with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight these doors will retain their looks for years to come. They’re powder-coated rather than painted, so the colour is fade, scratch and chip-resistant.
Are Composite Doors More Expensive Than uPVC?
It varies from project to project, but on average composite doors do tend to cost more than uPVC. They make up for it though with their longer lifespans, they outlast uPVC doors by up to ten years so are a better long-term investment.
Do They Have Problems With Warping?
No, this is a major advantage of composite doors. They’re fitted with water-resistant polymer composite rails and weatherproof skins which moisture can’t penetrate. Consequently, even when the heavens open for a torrential downpour, your composite door won’t absorb water and will retain its shape, saving you money on maintenance costs.
