Our French Windows

French windows are characterised by two glazed panels that join in the middle. Its a style that was first popularised in France during the Renaissance period and they have a distinctive charm that brings to mind warm, sunny days and blue skies. For ours, we work with the uPVC experts at Truframe and are proud to bring these exceptional windows to all our customers.

These windows benefit from contemporary construction methods and are made with the finest quality uPVC. They can be customised with a variety of colours, as well as optional astragal or Georgian bars. For the best bespoke French windows on the market, choose Max Glass.

Why Choose French Windows?

French windows have been popular for centuries and for a very good reason; they’re perfect for brightening up a home. They feature lots of glazing so let in plenty of sunlight and increase household light levels. The sashes can be opened to a full ninety-degree angle, providing unrestricted views of the outside world and plenty of ventilation.

Consequently, French windows are perfect if you want to make the great outdoors feel closer. They’ll contribute to a welcoming, homely atmosphere and have an understated charm.

French windows are also remarkably versatile. We can customise the designs to fit modern and traditional homes alike. If you want to complete a grand project, we can also coordinate them to match a new set of French doors, sliding or bifold doors. Whether you want a single French window or are looking to refurbish your entire house, these windows are a natural choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Get Triple Glazed French Windows?

Yes, we have an optional triple glazing upgrade for all of our products, including French windows. This will increase the strength of the window, along with the energy efficiency and noise reduction.

How Energy-Efficient Are Your French Windows?

Thanks to their modern construction methods and the quality of the materials, our uPVC French windows can achieve a maximum U-value of  0.87 W/m²K when triple glazed. They’re extremely energy efficient and will help keep your home comfortable.

Are French Windows Safe?

We test all of our windows to the highest standard and they come with PAS24 accreditation as standard. They’re also big enough to function as fire escapes in case of emergency.

Are French Windows The Same Thing As French Doors?

No, the two are very closely related and we understand why they get confused, but there is a difference. French doors are taller than French windows, tend to be thinner and are designed to function as entranceways rather than windows. If you’re interested in French doors, we recommend visiting this product page.

How Long Do These Windows Last?

The average lifespan of our French windows is in the region of twenty to thirty years, although they can exceed that if kept in good condition. It’s also worth mentioning that they are designed to be fully recyclable, so when they do reach the end of their lives, the materials can all be repurposed and they won’t end up in a landfill.
